Following the acquisition of the business, the new leadership team were looking to reposition the brand for its next chapter, honouring its heritage while elevating its presence to reflect the quality of craftsmanship and expertise behind the work.

Our role was to develop a strategic brand foundation and a complete visual identity that would communicate the studio’s values of craftsmanship, tradition and wellbeing through design, while creating consistency across marketing, digital and client touchpoints.

 
 
 
 

THE CHALLENGE

Cotton Mills had a strong reputation for craftsmanship and bespoke window treatments, but the brand needed to better communicate the heritage, expertise and premium service behind the business. Following the acquisition, the goal was to reposition the brand, create consistency across marketing and digital platforms, and build a strategic foundation to support future growth.

 

VISUAL DIRECTION

The visual identity draws inspiration from the calm, natural palette of the Cornish landscape, combining refined typography with heritage-inspired brand marks to reflect the studio’s blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.

The project extended beyond visual identity to shape a cohesive brand world, ensuring the business could communicate its expertise consistently across digital platforms, marketing materials and client interactions.

 

THE OUTCOME

The rebrand introduced a cohesive and elevated identity that better reflects the heritage, craftsmanship and expertise behind Cotton Mills Design House. The new brand positioning has strengthened the studio’s premium presence, creating consistency across marketing and digital platforms while visually communicating the quality and detail behind the work. Following the rebrand, the business experienced its most successful month to date, achieving record-breaking sales and establishing a stronger foundation for future growth.
